Integrity in an organization starts at the top. As Sheriff, I will continue to to be a leader of impeccable integrity and character. Integrity is at the very heart of our profession’s ability to gain and maintain the public’s trust and authority to perform our duties as peacekeepers. I will create a culture that demands and expects a high degree of integrity both internally and externally.

Policing has evolved substantially over the last several decades. Law enforcement professionals are held to a much higher standard and as such should seek to perform their duties in the most professional manner possible. I believe this is done through effective leadership, on-going and professional training, and organizational culture. My goal is to invest in high-caliber professional law enforcement, correctional, and command leadership training for our staff to develop and create a culture of excellence.

It is critical in today’s time, for law enforcement to be in constant communication with civic leaders and the community we serve. We can not see everything. We can not be everywhere. It's vital that relationships and partnerships are forged and maintained in order for any law enforcement agency to be effective. To accomplish this task, I intend to be visible and accessible to the public. My door will always be open and my phone will always be answered. Transparency and honesty will always be a trademark of my office.
